By Men Fox

Hattie is an observant hen while the other farm animals laugh at her paranoia, she insists there’s danger coming.

I like this story because Hattie sticks to her observations even though the other animals laugh at her. Even though she keeps listing off the face parts she sees in the bushes, no one believes her. I like the way Mem Fox lets the fox face reveal itself one face piece at a time. There’s also a really fun repetition of the way the animals brush Hattie aside. This is another good book to practice prediction.
